We take data protection very seriously, that is why we wipe ALL hard drives using military grade (DoD) software and upon request: the complete physical destruction of data storage assets can be carried out.

We only use the DOD 5220.22-M (US Department Of Defense) hard drive wipe method. If each pass is not 100% verified we will physically destroy the drive.

Chain of Custody & Processing

TradeIT has invested in the development of a meticulous and secure end-to-end asset tracking system that brings together technology, people, processes and infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of quality throughout the entire chain of custody of our clients’ IT assets and electronics.

  • All technicians undergo extensive background checks, are Canadian citizens, must accept and sign a non-disclosure, confidentiality agreement and participate in ongoing training in the secure handling of sensitive data storage device procedures.
  • Our processing facility is monitored 24/7 by CCTV, Infrared HD cameras and motion detectors.
  • Any and all corporate identifying information is removed from all electronics, this includes asset tags, notes and motherboard factory resets.
  • All electronics are inventoried by a digitally generated serial number through our asset tracking system: Core™. Units are tagged with a proprietary TradeIT asset tag for easy identification and tracking that all of our clients can access in real-time from anywhere with an internet connection, ensuring that you always know the status of your assets.
